Experience Columbus illuminated by LIVE!
LIVE! Technologies was proud to be an integral part of Celebrate the Experience, Experience Columbus’ annual meeting and presentation of the Expy Awards. Onsite, LIVE! completely supported all elements of the event with our full time staff providing the staging, audio-visual and creative solutions for Experience Columbus’ auspicious event.
LIVE! Technologies transformed the Battelle Grand Ballroom into a dynamic “video in the round”, visual set in order to compliment the messaging of Experience Columbus.
Nearly 800 guests in attendance were framed with twelve 16’ X 9’ screens illuminated by twelve 14K Christie projectors. Light towers framed each pair of screens and changed colors to reflect the branded graphics on the screen. With four cameras capturing entertainment on the two stages, video projection equipment also provided Image Magnification and video playback for the live audience.
LIVE! artists developed distinct graphic looks for each recipient of the 2010 Expy Awards. The recipients include 2010 North American Gay Amateur Athletic Association’s Gay Softball World Series, Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild, 2010 McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Games and Wex21 Campaign Coming of Age.
The program included dances by the Sai Art Group and Tapestry Performing Arts, as well as performances by the Bobby Floyd Trio, Mark Andre Baker from Opera Columbus, and Harmony Project.
Guests received a meal fully provided by Ohio vendors including favorites; Omega Bakery and Sugardaddy’s brownies. Each guest also received some generous donations provided by some of Ohio’s favorite restaurant and entertainment venues. There were some inspiring testimonials shared by Experience Ambassadors; Nannette Maciejunes, Christina Getachew, Joe Santry, Kamal Boulos and Jeni Britton Bauer.
