Preventative Maintenance

Prevention is the best medicine. It’s as true for a stomach bug as it is for a software bug. Our preventative maintenance service is a scheduled on-site service call to check all equipment and test the functioning of a designated system (microphones, wireless, touch screens, projection, and switching). It also includes alignment of the projection system, cleaning all filters, and checking the number of lamp hours on projection equipment. Installation and updates of existing firmware and software will be addressed as needed.

A list of functions and problems should be provided to the Live Service Department technician upon arrival. The technician will file a report detailing the status of the equipment, including any problems or repairs necessary to restore the system to full functionality. Recommendations for system upgrades will be also provided in the report.


Software/Firmware Updates

If you’ve ever downloaded a newly-issued update on your phone or computer, you know things don’t always work as advertised. That’s why LIVE! Technologies researches and analyzes every update issued by manufacturers. We will then update your software and firmware as necessary to optimize the performance of your system.


Repair Work

If it’s broke, we can fix it. Our Live Service Department technicians will pinpoint the failure and provide a quote with a recommendation for the best way to proceed. Our relationship with over 60 manufacturers ensures that we can get your gear back to original working condition.

Repair work can be dropped off at LIVE! Technologies or a Live Service Department technician can be dispatched to your location for pick up.


Audio Tuning and Video Calibration

A professional audiovisual system is like a band: if each part isn’t in tune, it’s amateur hour. Our calibration process is the best way to ensure that your system is performing at the optimal level. A Live Service Department technician will confirm that the system processor is functioning properly and tune the system using a real-time analyzer and selected program material. If there’s a monitor system, the technician will work to maximize gain before feedback. Digital systems time clocks will be checked as well.

Our managed services program allows you to pay a flat fee per month and covers all of your labor expenses associated with maintaining your system. Contracts are annual to three years in length. Live Service Department Direct Plus+ contracts are available to meet your special needs, including response time, back-up equipment, or remote service.
