Continuing our work with the Central Ohio Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Creative Service team produced several videos for the National Philanthropy Day luncheon. The luncheon is a time for celebration when AFP members gather to honor the nine 2013 award winners. The Creative Services team produced nine introduction videos to highlight the accomplishments of the award winning organizations and people.
Creating the Video
The process started in our state-of-the-art video production studio in Columbus with the filming of 15 interviews in front of a Chroma key green screen.
Working with the client our creative team cut down each interview into “rough cuts” to figure out what sound bites from each interviewee would be used in the final video. With those approved the Creative team moved into the final edit stage and selected music, designed background images and selected photographs that produced an appropriate narrative (and inserted them into the video in place of the green screen) to accompany the interviewees’ statements.
Uploading and Editing
We used our Vimeo channel to share the videos throughout the editing process with the client. This allows us to upload videos, add password protection and share them with clients, which saves the cost and time associated with sending hardcopies of rough cuts to the client.
From start to finish, the entire video production process took several months, but it was clearly time well-spent. The client was extremely pleased with the finished product and everyone in the audience learned a little more about the great work being done by several of Central Ohio’s philanthropists. Take a minute and watch the video and see for yourself.
